Collings Foundation – Preserving the Past
Syzygy Media Works, in association with Wakefield Community Access Television, is pleased to announce the premiere of the documentary film, Collings Foundation – Preserving the Past. This film will be shown as part of the Race of the Century weekend at the Collings Foundation in Stow, Massachusetts, August 16-17, 2008.
Collings Foundation – Preserving the Past is a look at this incredible organization that has been dedicated for more than three decades to preserving and presenting transportation history through its collections of historic aircraft and motorcars, particularly their renowned Wings of Freedom Tour. Now in its nineteenth year, three World War II bombers – the iconic B-17G Flying Fortress, the lumbering B-24J Liberator, and the sleek B-25J Mitchell - tour over one hundred cities in the U.S. each year to the thrill of thousands of people of every age. The Collings Foundation also hosts three open house weekends at their Stow headquarters.

Beginning with the Wings of Freedom Tour stop in Beverly, Massachusetts last September, we have had the incredible experience of not just seeing what the Collings Foundation is about, but experiencing it first hand. The most exciting experience for the Syzygy crew was filming the World War II battle re-enactment at the first Living History open house in October, 2008.
